Summer of Service Camp
July 18th to July 27th

The Summer of Service was an incredible success!

This program was a summer day camp for 150 youth. We had nine days of service and educational activities, and a day of pure entertainment and fun. The projects focused on serving the needs of the local community and the transformation of the participants into peacemakers.

Activities included: tutoring and mentoring programs in alternative summer schools, community and school beautification and clean-up projects, citizenship and civic education, community youth forums, intergenerational programs, and interracial, interreligious and multi-ethnic dialogue and exchange.

Volunteers served 50 hours in total toward their Presidential Student Service Award.

We will add more stories and pictures soon.
