The Time is Now - Join Us in Service on MLK Day

This year, the momentum is growing around getting more and more people involved in improving and changing their communities around the Martin Luther King Day of Service. We have tens of thousands of volunteers serving in 15 U.S. cities and 11 states.

We invite you to add your effort and your heart to build the dream by joining the Martin Luther King National Day of Service and making it ‘a day on, not a day off.’ The simple power of service to others was very close to Dr. King’s heart.

This Sunday, January 15th, SFP president, Charles Phillips, will be featured on ABC/Channel 7's Here and Now at 12 p.m. EST in NJ/CT/NY area. Everyone else can watch it online here.

It has been so exciting to see the momentum building up around the MLK Day of Service with more and more people getting involved in improving and changing their communities. I hope that we can receive a lot of comments on how people are commemorating the day.

Wish I were in the US tomorrow to serve and feel the great spirit of service that envelops the country on this day. May it continue through the 40 Days of Peace and beyond!
