- United States Agency for International Development (USAID) - In August, 2007, Service For Peace joined the ranks of Private Voluntary Organizations that are qualified to apply for grants from USAID. United States Agency for International Development is an independent federal government agency and is the principal US agency to extend assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to escape poverty, and engaging in democratic reforms.
Service For Peace is associated with:
- The CNCS Lead Agencies for Martin Luther King Day of Service, including The Points of Light Foundation, Hands On Network, National Alliance of Faith and Justice, National Association of Service and Conservation Corps.
- United Nations Department of Public Information (UN DPI) - From July 2007 SFP is approved as an UN DPI associate organization. United Nations Department of Public Information helps associated NGOs gain access to and disseminate information about the issues in which the United Nations is involved so that the public can better understand the aims and objectives of the world Organization and support its work.
- The Building Bridges Coalition (also referred to as the BBC) is a project of the Brookings Institution’s Initiative on International Volunteering and Service. It is a consortium of leading international volunteer organizations, universities and colleges, corporations, and government agencies working collaboratively towards the following goals:
1) Double the number of international volunteers sent abroad annually by 2010
2) Improve the quality of international volunteer service
3) Maximize the positive impacts of international volunteer service in communities around the world.
Service For Peace has a consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) - In June, 2008, the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) recommended SFP for consultative status with the Council. The Economic and Social Council serves as the central forum for discussing international economic and social issues, and for formulating policy recommendations addressed to Member States and the United Nations system.
Service For Peace is one of 7 strategic partners of Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). The mission of CNCS is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering. The Corporation for National and Community Service was established in 1993 to connect Americans of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to give back to their communities and their nation.
Service For Peace is on the International Coordinating Committee for Global Youth Service Day.
Service For Peace is an officially registered organization with the President's Volunteer Service Award - President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes individuals, families, and groups that have achieved a certain standard – measured by the number of hours of service over a 12-month period or cumulative hours earned over the course of a lifetime.

- International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE) – The International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE) was founded in 1970 by a group of volunteers from around the world who saw in volunteering a means of making connections across countries and cultures. It has grown into a global network of volunteers, volunteer organizations, national representatives and volunteer centers, with members in over 70 countries, and in all world regions.
- Break Away - Break Away: the Alternative Break Connection, Inc. is a national nonprofit organization that supports the development of quality alternative break programs by providing training and information primarily to colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations interested in creating lifelong active citizens through these intensive service-learning programs. Break Away currently has a network of over 100 chapter schools, more than 400 nonprofit partners, and hundreds of individual members worldwide, through which constituents have access to the newest ideas and a broad range of support in the national alternative break movement.
